FEBRUARY 22, 2013 @ 3:30 PM
HIGH MUSEUM OF ART, ATLANTA, GA

Few artists have captured the public’s imagination as have Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and her husband, the Mexican painter and muralist Diego Rivera. Through the investigation of their significant body of artwork, students will learn about their active participation in the historical happenings around them, from feminism to the Mexican Revolution. Audio guides available in both English and Spanish.  Frida & Diego: Passion, Politics, and Paining features more than 120 paintings and drawings by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, including an important group of photographs by artists who captured the couple’s shared passion for each other and for Mexico’s revolutionary culture during the 1920s and 1930s.
