LUCINDA’S WORLD

“Lucinda’s World” combines photography and installation art to give audiences an intimate look at the life and career of Lucinda Weil Bunnen. Mason Murer Gallery will be transformed with the installation of furniture, artwork, scrapbooks, and other personal items from Lucinda’s own home. The gallery walls will display framed photographs representing Lucinda’s 40+ year career — from the Galapagos, the Deep South, Cuba, and many worlds in between. Viewers will be encouraged to explore the artifacts on display; they can flip through scrapbooks, read Lucinda’s journals, or dig through the Jimmy Carter memory box. Guests can relax in Lucinda’s furniture and feel at home while taking in the artwork. Every visitor will receive a free, one-of-a-kind photograph by Lucinda as a memento of their visit. Curated by Matthew Terrell.  The exhibition is on view from Friday, September 26, 2014 to Friday, October 31, 2014.
