FLUX is a one night public art celebration in the streets and empty spaces of the Castleberry Hill Arts District. This year it will feature 34 projects engaging 226 artists. These diverse works include multimedia installations, projections, dance, theatre, music, sound and light installations, parades, puppetry, and iron pours. The evening starts with a lantern parade at 8:00 pm and ends at midnight with a spectacular display of iron fireworks.

In the weeks leading up to FLUX, Lonnie will spend time in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood, walking the streets and the train tracks and vacant lots in and around the community sourcing materials. On September 30th and during FLUX, Lonnie will create a sculpture using the materials sourced from the neighborhood. Music from Holley’s forthcoming album will be playing or he will use the breaks from working on the sculpture to create music related to Atlanta and the project.
