MAIRA KALMAN STUDIO VISIT

I have loved Maira Kalman’s books since I was a baby.  I have read almost all of her children’s books. Meeting her in Atlanta was a dream come true.  Being invited to her home and studio was beyond words.  Most of the work that is normally on the walls was out on loan to “The Pursuit of Everything” exhibition that is traveling.  Despite the emptiness, the space was enthused with her creativity, style and humor.
