Join us for a conversation between premier ceramicist Magdalene Odundo; Carol Thompson, the High’s Fred and Rita Richman Curator of African Art; and Michael Rooks, the Wieland Family Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art. Odundo will discuss her artistic techniques, including hand coiling, as well as African ceramic traditions and her wide-ranging influences, from ancient Cycladic culture to the work of German-French artist Hans Arp.
