PRE & POST OPERA CHATS WITH GAIL, PAUL & MY PARENTS

My AT&T video profile inspired my friend Gail who HATES opera to try opera in hopes that she could see it through my eyes.  By coincidence, we were both in Vienna over the holidays and I already had tickets to Die Zauberflote.  She asked if she and Paul could come and also asked if before the performance I would get together with them to talk through the libretto and give them the verbal cliff notes before the opera so they would be prepared.  Dinner at Sole was great!  During the intermission at the Opera Cafe and after the opera at Hotel Bristol- we had long chats about the opera, what we thought and tons of other topics.  Paul said that my giving he and Gail the pre opera talk about the libretto made his enjoyment of the opera 50%-60% better.  I was very happy that they came, and we had so much fun and a lot of lively conversation.
