THE HIGH: “ROTHKO FROM THE INSIDE OUT” BY CHRISTOPHER ROTHKO

Join us for a special evening with Christopher Rothko, son of the influential Abstract Expressionist painter Mark Rothko. Only six years old when his father died, Christopher Rothko—the artist’s youngest child and only son—now oversees the Rothko family collections. As one of the people most familiar with the prolific painter’s body of work, he reflects on his father’s colorful life and history with the art world.

Rothko has published his first collection of critical essays about his father’s painting and its still-unsettling effect on viewers, titled Mark Rothko: From the Inside Out. A book signing will follow this program.
